The Domain of the Haute Garduère was created in 1974 by Roger and Huguette Dizier with a group of friends, pioneers of naturism in the area and has passed on in the family to the current owners, his children who started their own family in 1994.
Haute Garduère has little in the way of structures but is nestled in the heart of a vast natural area of 70 hectares, all entirely Naturist and composed of thyme, olive, oak and juniper.
It’s a little corner of nature ideally suited for naturist hiking in the mild climate of Provence, 300 meters above sea level; away from life’s daily hectic grind and perfectly situated for discovering the region. It is both a club, which reunites families and a holiday centre where newcomers are always warmly welcomed by the other members.
One hundred pitches are spread over nearly 10 hectares, which are arranged in terraces – these were previously used for crops, are flat and shaded, are easy to access and available with or without electricity.
There is a lot to do inside and around Haute Garduère but the one activity you must take part in is undoubtedly petanque, which brings together amateurs, regulars or newcomers, throughout the season.
Mountain bike lovers can also have fun riding on some of the 250 km of signposted trails in the surrounding municipalities, including some in the naturist area. Other sport facilities available on site are volleyball, ping-pong, mini-golf and archery.
